2023 in review/2024 Q1 in review

Ahoy hoy, how are we all? I hope you are well and warm. This blog post is a long one, it is a combination of 2023 in review and 2024 Q1 in review

My eczema

Initially, my eczema had flared up at the start of last year due to me having buckwheat as part of the Six Pack Revolution. It got better but then back in November, I had my annual COVID jab, which had egg in it. Which caused a massive flareup, which resulted in me taking, long daily baths.

Thankfully, my eczema is much, much better. I’ve adopted the Ayurveda diet of eating foods that are considered as “cold”. My dad recently came back from India and brought back a load of creams and tablets to cure my eczema.

I am taking a lot fewer baths and most recently my longest bath has been 45 minutes.

My #rockulele videos

My ukulele videos have evolved over the last year. It started finishing off my decades, then I bought a new microphone and stand for myself, and afterwards, I bought myself some wireless guitar wires. At the end of last year, I debuted my keyboard when I did Stay Another Day by East 17.

At a recent Sliver Liners West Midlands Zoom meeting, I was chatting to Jon about musical instruments that he teaches at a boarding school. They have an instrument called a toot, which is like a flute but easier for children to play. And an instrument called a P-Bone, which is like a trombone. I decided to get both from Amazon and started using them for my videos.

Thanks to me doing a podcast interview with Clare Bullingmore and admitting that I’m a pro wrestling fan, a future month of mine will be pro wrestling themes from the past and present, including the Hindi song.

At another most recent Sliver Lining music Zoom meeting, I debuted a song that I had originally planned for my Comedy gig for Cancer Research. I played it in front of my mum and sister and they thought that song was hilarious. So I did a bonus recording.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a #metallullby song. I think that starting in a couple of months, I’m going to start putting famous poems into music.

Me working

I’m still not working. Unfortunately due to my baths, I’m far more tired than ever before, so I haven’t progressed anywhere with my course.

My weight

My weight at the start of the year was 76kg I now weigh in at 57kg, which means I’ve lost 12kg over the last year. I started the year doing 2 waves of the Six Pack Revolution and seeing results. Unfortunately, due to my taking baths, my fatigue has elevated. And I haven’t used the battle ropes in over 4 months.

I recently started using the treadmill regularly again. After one of my monthly eczema massages, as I was getting changed, I looked myself in the mirror and saw myself as a skinny, bony lad. So I decided to bulk up naturally, so I decided to lift weights 6 times a week. Shoulders twice a week, arms twice a week and chest and legs twice a week. On my rest day, I use my ab-swing.

That’s it for now. Once again, I just want to thank a few people. Firstly, I would like to thank my mum, dad, sister, and my Naughty Mamaji, for being by my side, throughout everything. I would like to thank everyone from BTS for welcoming me into the community. I would like to thank Kanika, Shirley, and everyone at Carers Trust for giving me the confidence to share my story and I would like to thank Joe for motivating me to get back on the horse. And I would like to thank everyone at the hospital, my family and friends, and everyone I’ve met on this journey.

Next time, I’m going to talk about 2024 – Q1, in further detail, in review.  Please feel free to leave a comment and as always, if you buy something from Amazon, through the blog, or click on an advert, 100% of the money that I get goes to charity.

Thanks and take care
