2023 – Q4 in review

Ahoy hoy, how are we all? I hope you are well and warm. This blog post is about 2023 Q4 in review.

My eczema

I’m still doing my baths, fortually they are not every day, they are every other day. The longest bath that I’ve taken recently is 2 hours, which I know is still too long.

My #rockulele videos

Starting this year, every January, I’m going to be doing a redux session, where I go back into my archive and redo the songs that I feel that wasn’t my best. Going from the success of my September’s Green Day month, every 6 months, I’m going to be playing and singing songs from a single artist. Starting with Elvis this March.

I’ve recently bought these wireless guitar wires from Amazon, they have helped me out because there are fewer cables.

Last month, I debuted my keyboard with Stay Another Day by East 17. I need to work out how to use my phone to film myself playing the keyboard.

Me working

I’m still not working. Unfortunately due to my baths, I’m far more tired than ever before, so I haven’t progressed anywhere with my course.

My weight

Thankfully, I now weigh in at 57kg, which is half of what I used to weigh after the fluid blockage. Woohoo! My goal is to slowly get back to doing a 5K. I still have a gut due to the steroids. I now lift dumbbells 4 times a week

My second  podcast interview

I did my second podcast interview with the amazing Gina Patel, where I spoke about Men’s mental health. I spoke about how I was close to ending it all after the fluid blockage, until one night, my mum said to me “You have been through the fire in the storm, now it’s sunny days are coming”. To listen, click here. I was told by her producer that I should start my own podcast because my voice is really soothing.

My goals for next year

My goals for next year are to either take up a job, to start a YouTube channel full of my videos, start a podcast, to get back to going on the treadmill more regularly and once my current bout of eczema clears up, to start dating.

One of my uncles keeps on asking me to set up my own YouTube channel, so the plan is to get all of my old videos and create a video intro for my videos.

That’s it for now. Once again, I just want to thank a few people. Firstly, I would like to thank my mum, dad, sister, and my Naughty Mamaji, for being by my side, throughout everything. I would like to thank everyone from BTS for sharing this with the community. I would like to thank Kanika, Shirley, and everyone at Carers Trust for giving me the confidence to share my story and I would like to thank Joe for motivating me to get back on the horse. And I would like to thank everyone at the hospital, my family and friends, and everyone I’ve met on this journey.

Next time, I’m going to talk about my 2023 – a year in review.

Please feel free to leave a comment and as always, if you buy something from Amazon, through the blog, or click on an advert, 100% of the money I get goes to charity.

Thanks and take care
